My introduction to pottery began in 1973 on the UC Davis, California campus and I have been creating pottery ever since. In 1976-1977, I lived in Paris, traveled in Europe and worked in the pottery studio of Albert Diato (former protégé of Picasso) and the studio of Diana Berier, Le Cheval L’Envers. I make my own stoneware and porcelain and mix my own glazes so I can create the effects I desire. Most of my work is functional, tending to be abstracted in shape at times. I prefer very clean, delicate, finished lines and forms and want to explore in greater depth the variations in form and colour that I am continuing to find in nature. www.palousehillpottery.com
